Me too. I thought the survey was very nice and interesting. And this
"controversy" is actually upsetting me. Somebody comes in and tries to do a
nice thing ($ to WMF, interesting exercise for volunteers, knowledge for
the world). You think people would be happy. No! Never! Analyze and nitpick

Ditto Michael.
You have done a great job the past 3 years and you will be missed.

Hey, are there going to be matching donations this year? (ie. I donate $x
and somebody donates the same $x to match my contribution).
If yes, I am going to tell my friends to wait.

I think is is most excellent write-up of my thoughts. Wikipedia is no longer
"new and exciting"... Internet's attention span is short & people are
looking for something more exciting to do. (that and all the community
behavior / communication issues that drive newbies away).
What to do about it?

that we ought to do something.
"Alphascript Publishing" has published over 1900 (and counting) books, all
available on Amazon. Prices range from $31 to $179. All of these books are

Hey guys,
There was a user survey back in October-November. The results were promised
in "8 weeks", but I have not seen any updates from the survey. How is it
