Yes, sub-pixel rendering with RGB-striped layout is enabled for KDE only
according to their request.

Which desktop are you using? 2.14.1 enables 10-sub-pixel-rgb.conf by default
but only when it isn't set anywhere else. if it isn't comfortable for your
monitor, you may want to enable other sub-pixel antiali
