What's important IMO with those changes is to back them with JIRA
issues, to be able to track what's been changed in those
Batik/Velocity forks. And, as Dave says, the goal should be to

Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean that Apache Flex dev community is
working on an IDE for Flex (Flash Builder or something similar) too??? If yes,
is this the same Flash Builder IDE that Adobe is going to donate to Apache?

Not that I'm aware of.
Due to changes in the Apache Flex SDK directory structure (mostly to do with
licensing ie we are unable to include them

Adobe is not donating Flash builder to Apache (and nor do they have any plans
to do so to my knowledge). They are currently working on the next version of
Flash Builder (4.7?) which is currently in pre release and
If they make Flash Builder free, that will be awesome. But i know they
won't make it at-least for 2 years. In other case, they should give some
of the testing tools free. like Profiler.
What do you think?
