previous ugly temporary version ;-)

Hi Everyone,
The site is now live and there are clues to how to edit the site if you are a
committer.
I am in the process of writing detailed information about Apache CMS for the
OpenOffice podling.
I've based the initial version of the Apache Flex website on a combination of

We might want to hold off on even placeholders until we hear back from

Sorry I'm late to the party.
Just joined the mailing list.
I'm trying to catch up on all I've missed.
I'd like to help out with design if possible. I think it is where I'd be
most useful.
While we are waiting on the logo I could still help with some wireframes
and site design.
Any objections?
I am trying to verify the answer about the icon. Will report back when I
find out. Seems like we'd want to add the Apache feather to it somehow?

Does anyone know if Adobe plans to donate their logo?

It was just a suggestion - certainly don't mean to undermine the enthusiasm
or hold anyone back from getting involved and proposing a logo.
What I've seen talking to people in the wider community, there doesn't seem
to be a full understanding about the open nature at Apache or a realization

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to get the community involved - give it a
deadline of a week to come up with a proposal and have an open vote on the
mailinglist?
I'm sure we have some really talented people already on here willing to
volunteer but might as well open it up and drive some interest

Most of the sites look pretty "ugly".
It would be nice for someone to do something. Maybe someone with more
design skills than I have :)

I think we need a logo and some basic structure put in place.
Do we ask for volunteers to work on it?
