An official Apache release is a source code distribution. There is no
official support for building Flex from sources on Linux as a couple of
tools like Pixel Bender Toolkit are not available on Linux.
You are more than welcome to take the binary distribution and the various
repackaging scripts
I have not built a package like this before. Under the circumstances what
would you advice. What package to download and perhaps build instructions.
Thanks for any help you can give

I would expect, in theory, that you should be able to build Flex fine
on Linux. Of course, with minimal / waning support for the Adobe Flash
Runtimes on Linux, it seems unlikely at this time many Flex Developer's
will be using Linux as their development platform.

wished to be in this forum.
I have just been looking at the release documents and I can see no support

Could someone please enlighten me as to the state of Flex 4.8.0 for linux
development
Kind regard
