Re' vector graphics:
This is one reason why most if not all vector graphics on Linux (GUI
including) are SVGs. SVG isn't really a good format from the performance or
structural point of view, but it appears to be easy to edit. There is also
a good (comparable to Freehand 9 at least) free oss vector

design, or look at creating the skins for for the other components as well?

Hi Mentors,
Here is my somewhat limited understanding of how Flex uses Batik.
Flex allows the use of a subset of CSS to specify various visual and non-visual
aspects of a component and I think we report errors on CSS syntax outside the
subset that is supported.
Flex extended CSS to allow the sp

Greg,
Thank you for taking the time to look into this.
Alex and I talked this morning and we agree with you. We will take the
jars out of our velocity and batik sources. While we are not yet using
maven we will have an ant target that will go fetch all the jars needed to
build. We are already

@Carol: could someone of the original developers give us a general overview
of the changes they made? We could diff the files ourselves, but it would
take some time to actually understand what concepts were added or what

It would also make the step of mavenizing a SDK release obsolete. I would
definitely vote for this (If I'm allowed a vote) ;-)
