Why does this happen? Of course in exmh, they try to open with
openoffice instead of kpdf.

So what does the "file" command say when you run it on a PDF? It looks
like exmh uses whatever "file" thinks it is along with a mapping table
to decide what MIME type to use. Although maybe something el
file cmmand says

I did not have a application/x-msword; in my mailcap so I don't know
how my exmh (2.7.2, BTW) is getting the idea that it's msword.
NEway, I set
application/x-msword; kpdf -geometry 900x1100 "%s"
since it appears that it's always pdf. I searched thr

Ah, I misunderstood you. I thought that YOU were attaching PDFs and
they were going out as application/x-msword.
Thnx Anne and Ken. That was a useful test. It seems to me it comes from
msword to pdf converted files.
