The formulas are array, so they're entered with Shift+Ctrl+Enter, which
automatically puts in the curley brackets and makes them work properly.

If XL has put NA in a cell, you must already have a formula there.
You'll need to send a sample workbook so we can see get the whole
picture.

As dave said, there is a formula in column
Click on the formula.
Carefully copy the formula except '=' symbol
type the following in the same cell.
=iserror(FORMULA, 0, FORMULA)
Replace the FORMULA with the copied formula
