Paul, When I click the test.xlsm file it always opens as 2007 version, no prior version of any excel is open at that time. now I tried your suggested approaches: 1. Used "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE C: \foldername\test.xlsm" BUT this doesnt trigger to initiate my tes
