yes, after posting I was wondering whether I also needed to describe
now to enter forumla's in an 'array' format...
If you selected 'just over' 935 rows for the array otput and qsplit
really did spit out only 935 rows as expected, then the last few rows
must have returned #N/A. This is down to how
Ignore my other email where I had questions (which has not posted
yet), I figured it out
I have 5 columns of data, w/varying integers > 0. I knew I had to
convert 412 rows of data to 935 rows of data
I selected an array the same # of columns, and just over 935 rows
typed '=qsplit(A1:G412,TRUE,1,2,3
OK, I am having trouble running this function. My data has 412 rows.
I see your function on the sample manos_w_QSplit.xls is entered as
'=qsplit(a2:g5,TRUE,a4,b5,3,5)
I enter '=qsplit(a1:g412, TRUE) and all I get is the column header
data.
1) Do I need to copy the array formula over the same size
Thank you very much, Doug, this looks amazing. I am singing praises to
you. I will incorporate into my actual data. Thank you very much for
taking the time

Sorry, I have now found the group file section and will use it myself.
Stephen, your problem amused me so much I wrote a new QFunction
'QSplit' that does the job. The file I am about to upload is called:
manos_w_QSplit.xls
It takes the following arguments:
QString([ArrayIn],[HeaderIncl],[SplitC
Just to clarify, there is file in Group's file section. Have attached it
herewith.

As Paul Willekens said, you've not uploaded anything.
The easiest solution to your task *sounds* like it would be a pivot
table (just google 'excel pivot tutorial' or something and you'll find
out all you need).
The QX Function* can summarize databases on unique criteria as well,
but being a VBA
Hi Stephen,
No upload in the picture...
