Hi,
I see your code and this spread sheet is great. I was wondering if there
was a way to stop the code from running when you select the whole row to
copy and paste it in a different line.

Does this function as an autocomplete for drop down validation lists? I've
been looking forever for a solution but I am beginning to lose hope. I
need it to function without using combobox.

I am not the greatest at coding, but this is sheer genius for me. I have
gotten it to work in a similar workbook with great results.
My question to this old thread is this: I have about 7 different
worksheets of lists. List 1 is used to autocomplete cells c7,c18,c19,c25
in the master sheet.
Its a name range. See the range under "Name Manager" in the "Formulas" tab
(Excel 2007).

Hello Sir,
What I understand that is
--You are using a Validation List
--You want that When you start typing in the cell, the entries in
validation list start reducing to those matching the words, like a
wild-card search.
It that is true, I don't think there is any Excel Add-in for such purpose.

Hi, thanks for your reply but my requirement is different. Auto
complete should work even the words are in different column or
different sheet. And it's not work with Alt+down arrow. Thanks
