I was able to work around this by installing the Fedora Core 3 packages (2.0)
on my FC4 system (which should have 2.4). It crashed a lot but was better than
nothing. Perhaps that would keep you going until the maintainers can work out
a fix?

stopped working in 2.2. There's a bug filed (273627) but it hasn't been
fixed. I'm still using Fedora Core 3 on my work laptop because I want
to keep using Evolution, and that's the best solution I can offer.
