ensure that all teh changes have been pushed to the imap server is to
quit the program. Killing it does not achieve this - so logging out
without stopping evo would have the same effect.
If you aren't using imap then its probably a permissions problem.

To delete them expunge the mailbox:-
* Select that mailbox
* Folder->Expunge (or control-e)
or do it wholesale and use "File->Empty Trash" which expunges all
folders that evolution can see.

I would make a guess that your system is adding a second Subject: header
to the message, and (from your point of view) evolution is displaying
the wrong one.
If this is the case then you need to remove, or rename, the original
header within your MTA.

It should be noted that if the plugin is active, the ability to receive
meeting requests breaks. Someone needs to take that plugin and give it
a little loving to make it just a bit more selective.
