t start of evolution will recreate that key with default values, but
please keep somewhere a copy of this key, to be able to catch a bug, if
there is any.

I actually have the same problem and have yet to find a solution.
Running verion 2.8.0 (Cent OS 5.0 distributed package).
I also can't go into Edit->Preferences.
I can use E-Mail and Contacts.

Why is it displaying the HTML and not interpreting it? Even the preview
in the signature composer shows the HTML and not the final result. How
do I fix this?

Understood. I may switch back to text e-mails. I only did this to
format my signature more consistently.
In any event, this doesn't really solve the problem, does it? I still
don't know why the HTML signatures are not working properly, whether I
should use them or not.
