I installed evoluation mail 2.26.2-2 for Windows and hoped for a German
version. But the mail client starts english. I configured my Windows
Vista Business with Swiss German settings. I see that a lot of language
package come with the installation.
How can I start evolution mail start in German ?

Try setting the environment variable LANG to the value "de" (without
the quotes).

Would be nice if you can start evolution in a terminal and post the
messages that are printed.
Also some stack traces with with GDB would be helpful.

Thanks to Pete Briggs, I can now use Evolution again.
For some reason, my messages to evolution-list do not show up in my
emails from evolution-list and are in a scrubbed file.
I am not sure if I am OK now or not. Evolution seems to be working
