OK, that last problem has been fixed and Evolution now starts properly. I have
no idea why that library was not present as it should be, but now it is.
However, Evo still isn't quite working for me. This time, it's the Exchange
configuration. At the receiving messages stage, I do not get all th

Hm. I don't have folders that big but others have posted here with much

I suspect it was related to the problem with evo install failing. This

Oh yeah, that's very bad. Things will definitely not work.
However, on my system that library is happily sitting
in /opt/evo/lib/evolution/2.12. ex
Yes, I am using the script. I've tried what you suggested and still no luck. I
think the problem is that not all the libraries have been installed properly.
Here is the log file:

Sorry, it was foolish of me to use the old Makefile when you'd sent an update.
The new one you sent compiled everything without errors.
However, I am still without a working Evo. It starts up fine, but I get an
interface with onl

Hi Peter; glad it (sort of) worked for you. I've attached
Hi there,
First of all, I apologise for the negative comments in my previous post
- Paul was absolutely right about them being unhelpful. Evolution is an
impressive tool, and it is hardly fair to blame it for struggling to
have perfect interaction with a proprietary mail service, especially one

Actually, there's still a build bug in evolution which will cause this
makefile to fail the first time you run it. I thought it had been
fixed, but really the build bug was just masked because I was installing
it into an already-populated directory.
Attached to this email please find a new makefi

Try unchecking "Check for new mail in all folders" under
Preferences->account->Receiving Options. Unchecking means Evo will only
check the Inbox. Unfortunately there's currently no way to check just
some of your other remote folders (apart from unsubscribing them).

What version of Ubuntu are you using? Saying you're using Evo 2 doesn't
tell us much: Evo 2.0 was released years ago. The current stable
version, provided in Ubuntu 7.04 (Fei
