Your complaints appear to be about Suse, not about Evolution (or even
about Linux). It's certainly worrying that YAST is offering you evo 2.4
with e-d-s 1.6 so I suspect a screwup at Suse. We seem to have seen a
fair amount of questions recently specifically about Suse. Maybe a lot

Hi again. Thanks to those that replied last time.
I have tried the supplemental YAST repositories for my SuSE 9.3 install
and still no joy in getting a running evolution. The version posted on
the supplemental archive are not compatible with each other.
