Karim: Using luma, I can only connect to my LDAP servers anonymously with an unencrypted connection. So it is not behaving the same as evolution is for me, but it does let me see all the records. Connecting with evolution is set to anonymous with always use a secure connection over port 389.

Steve, The LDAP support stops at a 1000 I believe. I also tried to use LDAP and we have thousands of users. I ended up getting an export of the users and creating an additional address book with those users. Over time it will get out of sync, but for now it is a worthwhile work around. Hopefully t

Karim, What version of Evolution are you running? Iam running 2.4.1 and when I set mine up it did the same thing to me over and over again. I had to reboot twice after the intial setup and then the error went away. My problem is now it appears to connect, however when I do a search for a name
