Using luma, I can only connect to my LDAP servers anonymously with an
unencrypted connection. So
it is not behaving the same as evolution is for me, but it does let me see all
the records.
Connecting with evolution is set to anonymous with always use a secure

The results I've gotten with this issue are confusing. I tried the

work, and one that I installed myself at home. Here's what I got:

Hi Steve:
Well, I am definitely not an LDAP expert, but here's the little I do know.
Forgive me if this is

Can you use this LDAP server under other applications?
Does ldapsearch -x work?
I had similar problems with evolution connecting to an LDAP server, but it was

Karim,
What version of Evolution are you running?
Iam running 2.4.1 and when I set mine up it did the same thing to me
over and over again.
I had to reboot twice after the intial setup and then the error went
away.
My problem is now it appears to connect, however when I do a search for

Hi all,
I'm trying to create an LDAP address book, without success. After
entering the LDAP server info in the Address Book Properties, I get an
