I' am using evolution for many years.
Now I got an error by sending mail.
I'am using GMX as provider.
Everytime I changed my password at provider side I can't send emails any more.
I'm configured evolution with imap. See attached error message.

Has anyone had the problem of passwords not being remembered? This is
despite 'remember password being ticked' both when creating the email
accounts and subsequently (every time Evolution is opened) being ticked
when the request for the password is made.

Hi,
I finally got things working with the following:
I create a second account for the same inbox and, this time, with the
default settings. It turned out that it worked then. It was strange
though that my first account was not visible in the left pane now. So I
deleted that second account. After
#x27; so to speak! So far the email experience has been very
good and I hope to get some experience with the newsgroups now. Fine business
with Thunderbird which is my client on the 'other' system and a creditable
fallback , if I need it.
