I just had 127 E-D-S processes when I checked this morning. Time to shutdown
and start again...

I have noticed that I am getting many E-D-S processes. I can't tell what
causes it, but it has
happened twice.
evolution --force-shutdown will kill them all.
This last time I noticed the problem when evolution hung switching from
Contacts to Mail.
I'm using 2.6.2/1.6.2 with a Groupwise 7.0.1
to take time to do any debugging.

Is anyone having luck running Evo 2.6 with Groupwise? I'm on Debian unstable,
and the
evolution-data-server crashes so quickly that the calendar is practically
useless. I'm not having
much luck with my contact/address books either.

mail-notification quit working for me once I updated to evo 2.6. The debian
bug report hints that
the dbus notification was fixed in 2.6 and requested mail-notification to
update. Are there other
ways of getting a visual clue that email has arrived? Sound is not an option

Hi Murray:
I don't have an answer for you, but would also like to know how to fix this. I
currently have
other LDAP problems with outstanding bugs reported. (See Bug 322964 â LDAP
stalls on contact
search) If you could confirm this bug I think it would have a better chance of
getting fixed

I'm using evolution 2.4.2.1 with GW7. I does have some limitations, but for
the most part it is
very useable. Here's my list of works, does not work:
Works:
Mailer checks mail, notification pops up
Correctly scans all GW folders
Correctly scans for junk mail
Correctly applies filters

I had similar problems with evolution connecting to an LDAP server, but it was

Hi:
I noticed on the Top Priority Bugs page on go-evolution.org that "recurrence
support for
Groupwise" was listed and a bug number assigned. (The bug number looks like it
is wrong as the
linked bug report does not relate to evolution.)
I am not able to make a recurring appointment in my Group

Anyone else using Groupwise 7 seeing the "Sent Items" Folder empty when it is
not empty on the

Using the win32 GW client, I see all my sent items since I upgraded to 2.4.1
where they should be.
Now that 2.4.1 is not keeping a local copy of sent items "On This Computer"

I do log in with the win32 groupwise client frequently these days just to make

missing anything. Why do you ask?

Now that I have GW features working, I can't lookup addresses from the global
address book, just
my personal address book and frequent contacts address book. Any ideas how to
enable the global

I recently upgraded to evolution 2.4.1 from 2.0.3. I have been using evolution
to access our
Groupwise server before the upgrade. I am excited to use the integrated
features with Groupwise
7, but they are not showing up.
I have seen other users evolution accounts setup with the same Groupwise
Hi:
I am debugging evolution crashes and frequently use 'evolution
--force-shutdown' and killev, which
stop evolution and alarm notify. However, only a specific kill to the
evolution data server
process id will kill it. I think killev used to kill the E-D-S as well.
To boot, the E-D-S restar
