It might related to bug 346443.

Hi, Lars,
Are you building the evolution-jescs by yourself? If so, where do you
set the prefix to?
You need to install the .server files to the directory where
bonobo-activation-server can find it, usually this
is /usr/lib/bonobo/servers. Maybe you can copy the
GNOME_Evolution_Sun
This option is only available for evolution-jescs backends. The calendar
server will send out the email instead of evolution itself.
If you want evolution to be able to send a email alarm, too, please file
a bug in bugzilla.

Hi, Greg,
Are you building evolution-jescs from source or get a package from
somewhere?
The jescs account cannot do upgrade automatically. You have to setup an
account manually again. You can setup it through the new mail account
wizard.
To make sure it can star up correct
Close Evolution, then run ($gconftool-2 --recursive-unset
"/apps/evolution") should clear all your personal evolution settings in
gconf, including account settings.
I am not sure whether you need to remove .evolution, but you can make a
backup of it first before you remove it.
