I am having to change HDDs and with that from Solydx testing to Solydx
stable. Testing has Evol. 3.12.6 and stable has Evol. 3.4.4. The
testing OS will become the stable OS sometime early next year hopefully
with 3.12.6 but I don't know for sure.

Maybe I did find out a workaround.
Command should have been 'sudo apt-get purge nvidia*'
That has seemed to be the blessing. Evolution started right up again
after running the above command.

I just did a upgrade on my Solydx and one of the things we were needing
to do was do some post upgrade commands in the terminal. Going too
quickly, I did a "sudo apt-get install --reinst
way solved two problems; the freezing and the thought that
there was a better email client for me than E.
