evolution connecting to an LDAP server, but it was incorrect settings
in my ldap.conf file. Once I figured them out, I was able to connect much better.

Iam running 2.4.1 and when I set mine up it did the same thing to me
over and over again.
I had to reboot twice after the intial setup and then the error went
away.

that it was the same file structure as evolution, i have since found
