Thank you, Milan, I have not been able to find the deb file for evolution 3.16.4. On my R&D PC, running Ubuntu 15.10, synaptic shows 3.16.3 for evolution but 3.16.4 for evolution-data-server. Evolution 3.16.3 does not crash when tabs are used in preparing an e-mail. I have been reluctant to u
