Right no forcing. I figured out how to get around the issue. I just have to let Evolution assume I want IMAP to the mail.com server, and then go back and it will allow change there. But if I let the account be created, THEN I can't change it. And for the record, it is Evolution 3.8.5 John

My system brings its mail into $MAIL (/var/spool/mail/jonrysh) using fetchmail, which evolution incorporates as a Local Delivery File. Frequently, almost always immediately after starting the system, evolution incorporates some mail and then hangs. Attempts to exit evolution using File->Quit fail:

Thanks for your reply, we did check Exchange config and the box is already ticked for the public folders I can confirm you that read status when only using outlook is per user basis, but when setting read status with evolution-ews, it breaks read status for everybody else It is like email messages
