Unfortunately I haven't managed to make it work yet.
After a few tries with the public Yahoo! Calendar, I hit the following issues:
- They publicize their caldav address as an "https" address, see:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/calendar/yahoocale

Following your hint I found out that my
/etc/bonobo-activation/bonobo-activation-config.xml was misconfigured by an old
devel installation of evolution -- I was once trying to track some bug.
Once that was fixed all started to work!
