Hello everyone,
For Evolution 2.22 we should be having MAPI based Exchange connector
which developed in parallel with Openchange based libmapi. The team is
currently working on that and the code is currently maintianed at GNOME
SVN in EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH (both for evolution and

Hi,
they hacked MD5, not SHA1, about 2 years ago, and it's "only" for
messages of size >= 1024 B. One Czech cryptographic guy made a program
to create collision in about 8 seconds on a regular notebook. :)
SHA1 still persists, as far as I know.
There is currently no way how to use SHA256,

Hi,
I am using evolution and have two accounts - one is exchange and the
second is a gmail account.
Whenever I want to send a new email, evolution requests a password for
the global address list but this is a local catalog (not from
exchange)and it does not accept any password from my arsenal of

gconf-editor,but found nothing. How do i change the used hash-method
from sha1 to e.g. sha512. Sha1 got hacked by some chinese over 2 years
ago.

I just installed Evo 2.12.1 and EDS 1.12.1, on Mandriva 2008, but the
error happens with Evo 2.12.0 and ADS 1.12.0 from Mandriva's RPMs.
All is working fine, but I cannot search in my addressbook anymore :
it crashes when I want to "search in all fields" : I write my request,

It hangs while "retrieving message bighexnumber..." and "downloading
message for offline usage..."
I usually have to pkill -f evolution at this point to get the client to
restart as well.

opensuse10.3 evo-2.12, exchange inbox shows a bold number of un-read
messages, but I only see two read messages. If I open outlook I can see
a bunch of messages in my inbox. The search box is clear.
Also, quite often I will click on a message and the status bar shows
"downloading for offline usage"

Just FYI, this bug doesn't affect evo 2.12 & Palm syncs. I didn't notice it
with Palm syncs in 2.10 either. Must be a bug connected to winmob synching.

Difficult maybe. I'm not a programmer, so I wouldn't know, but kmail and
thunderbird both have this capability, and I have used it quite often.

This behavior would be acceptable if it was accurate.
My experience with an exchange server (as opposed to POP or IMAP) is that
filters are NEVER automatially applied.
Was it not for the fact that evo 2.12 handles exchange otherwise excellently,
and my filtering needs on work mail are meager as
Hi Thomas,
I will start working on it. Currently a bit busy with some other
work. Akhil, could you please test it and confirm it ?
thanks, Chenthill.

Hello
There is a serious bug in the Evolution Exchange Calendar which makes
appointments created by Evolution not visible when you sync your
calendar to a PDA.
There is a workaround that you can use and that is to mark your
appointments as private.
The bug is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.c
