I am using Evolution 2.6.1 on Ubuntu 6.06. When reading my emails, I
like to print them off to read the longer ones later on. However, in
some emails there are a lot of detail at the end of the email I do not
wish to print off. I try to use the feature which allows me to select
pages I want. Evolut

I planning to do a fresh install of Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, instead of
upgrading my machine.
Since I use many local folders, is it safe to backup the .evolution
directory (or better, the entire home directory), and then copy it back

Thanks in advance,
Marcus.

Is there any configuration parameter that will allow changing the
background color of the evolution display?
The default is white, except for the 'view' panel which alternates
between white and grey. I'd like to set a semi-dark grey as the
background as I find the white to be very bright/intense..
I have a set of filters for refiling incoming messages, mostly to do
with mailing lists such as this one. Since I installed Evo 2.10.0 (under
Fedora Core 6) these filters have taken to copying the messages instead
of moving them.
I have a filter log set up, which shows the correct rules being fire

Dangerous. You're starting two concurrent processes, one reading from a
file and the other writing *to the same file*. Depending on race
conditions, some of the time the shell will trunca

Ritesh and Murray,
I was able to write a nice perl script to go into each home directory
on our server and change the SMTP. Just wanted to thank you for the
quick response saving me a lot of time. I'm going to try a similar
bash script that uses sed without the gconftool, it works from comma

"preferred" app for opening *.doc files from abiword to openoffice's
swriter?
