I can't seem to find the option to cancel messages sent to news
groups. Where is it? Or can Evolution cancel messages?

Update #2:
This is for the edification of everyone.
Andre's note had the fix.
I am running SuSE 10.1 which has proved to be a frustration in and of itself. (That's another story)
My 10.1 is an upgrade from 10.0 not a fresh install.
The language that I am using is American English as primary

Yeah, I'm using exchange as well. I haven't been able to use Evolution since I upgraded either. I am now getting a permission denied error whenever I try to start up Evolution. Here is the latest error I am getting:

Update:
I tried to add words to the Dictionary. (right click on highlighted word, click on "Add Word to Dictionary")
It gave me this error. "Unable to add word to dictionary, language settings are broken."
All I can do is click OK and as it is an informational message. This is a little vague,
