Hello, what should my ldap.conf file look like? I am able to connect to
my work ldap (so it seems), but I am not able to actually perform a
search (well I can perform one, just no results).
I tried typing ldapsearch -x within shell and nothing, also tried
ldapsearch my.server.name.her

The LDAP support stops at a 1000 I believe. I also tried to use LDAP and
we have thousands of users. I ended up getting an export of the users
and creating an additional address book with those users. Over time it
will get out of sync, but for now it is a worthwhile work around.

I had similar problems with evolution connecting to an LDAP server, but it was
incorrect settings
in my ldap.conf file. Once I figured them out, I was able to connect much
better.
