I have had good luck with Anderson connectors also. Both the two pole large
connectors as well as the PowerPole and Power Pak smaller connectors.
The color coding of the two pole connectors is really great also. They can't
be accidentally interconnected.

Assuming you're traveling in a Model S what I would recommend is to open
plugshare and deselect all charger options other than "Tesla (S) EV plugs."
You'll see a list that's pretty much Tesla service/retail spots and hotels. It
seems a lot of smaller lodges and bed and breakfast spots have Tesla

Tesla has been pretty successful in getting hotels and motels signed up with
their Destination Charging program. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that helps
with other EVs since the charger is often a Tesla High Power Wall Charger

Tried Ramada - same basic conversation, but got transferred to someone who
wanted to sell me a 'getaway package'.
I've emailed both organizations.
I realize I can wing it and ask for a 120V outlet, but how is that grocery
stores, etc are putting in charge stations and hotels don't? I would think

I tried calling Hilton to see how to tell which of their hotels offer charging

Motels very often have one or more outdoor 120 vac outlet somewhere.
Ask permission ahead of time, and ask again when you arrive, if you
can plug in. Bring a lng 14 gauge cord. Bring your 120 volt

You can also ask for a first floor room near parking and hang your

Harbor freight _always_ has a 20% off one item coupon, somewhere.
Occasionally, a 25% off coupon is sent in mailings, advertizements, etc.
(AARP magazine often has a 25% off coupon.)
You can always get a "free LED flashlight" coupon as well. Be sure to
find one of those.
