I suspect you use htmlize for export? I have the same problem... It was
introduced about two weeks ago - I now can't htmlize-buffer any more.
Could please someone using a 'normal' stable emacs-22 version comment
this?

Hi all,
I've recently converted almost all of my in-house documents to the
org-publishing system. I like this system a lot. I thought I would
share some of my settings with the list.
I use external stylesheets for document formatting and I noticed that
all of the generated HTML pages have embed
sections for HTML export should be clean. We can use styles
to indent the text if that is desired.
This allows copying and pasting the text from the HTML document
so that you get the original data in the
#+BEGIN_EXAMPLE
..
#+END_EXAMPLE
block.
