[Orgmode] Org-remember interim file save before filing?

2008-07-29 Thread Alan E. Davis
I think I already know the answer to this question. Unfortunately. I have an org-remember template for my operating system notes. I diligently started up org-remember today, saved a list of important packages to update, and rebooted. But... I forgot to file the note in it's assigned heading in

Hi all, I'm a reticent poster, but long time subscriber, of this mailing list. Recently I've started using org-mode more seriously, and for various reasons which are not important, I find the current clock implementation of limited usefulness. Basically, I may restart Emacs multiple times each d

[Orgmode] Latex exporting

I've finally embarked upon a journey of exploration, attempting to publish quality PDF's via org and latex. I've found that I'm creating my own headers and other items that must be included before the \begin, and the only mechanism for adding them is via the org-export-latex-append-header variable

Hi, ever heard of the IG Nobel prize [1] of the Journal of Improbable Research? The annual awards meeting is always great to watch. One of the things they do is that each speaker has to give a 24/7 lecture on their subject. This means, they have to give a complete technical description of the

[Orgmode] Using effort property to automatically calculate end time...

2008-07-29 Thread Jose Robins
Since we already have an effort property, if I were to schedule a task let's say to today using the C-s key, and I also put in a time of 9:00 am, is there a way for org to automatically add the effort property to the start time so as to calculate the end time? Advantage with this is that if
