Entering agenda view with a custom command like

in a file I would like to write following line:
„Writing [1] you can create a footnote."
But then [1] is interpreted as a footnote. I have tried escaping it:
\[1\] =[1]= \\[1\\] @[1]@ etc. but it doesn't work; it's
always interpreted as a footnote.

Can the Makefile be modified to the create the 'dir' file for the
info file?
For every release of org mode, I simply run make and rename the latest
org- directory as org. I don't do make install but simply
point .Emacs to the place of the org directory.
