Org-mode is a major part of my GTD scheme, however, there are some
tasks for which I think it's not ideal. One example are lists of
"lightweight" items; items that are not critical and nothing seriously
bad would happen if they are forgotten. Interesting webpages to read
or papers to read/p

Links can be abbreviated with a syntax that feels like a new
link type. Thanks to Dale Smith for bringing this up and
suggesting an implementation.
There was indeed a bug there - under XEmacs the emphasising no longer
worked, an interesting bug/difference in the regexp engine in XEmacs.
This will be fixed in 4.51.
