The 78L05 is a quad 8 bit DAC and the 77L06 is a 6 volt regulator. Not
the same at all.
The 77L06 is used in the KX1, not he K1 or K2. Contact Elecraft to get
the correct part.

What would be nice for a person with limited mobility, like myself, would be

We gave a new k3 with the 2 meter module built in. When listening and
transmitting on 2 meters, our signal is not clear. We have tried several things
to correct the problem, but it is still present. We gave removed and checked
for bad cables, etc. but to no avail. The problem seems to now be in
ot;problem" was identifed/defined.
He even made a house call to demonstrate its effectiveness on Wedensday.
While it is still in Beta test it appears to provide a reasonable fix.
Elecraft will likely release more soon.

including driving linear amps, with the rig than cw.

My vote would be for the Proset with H4 element for Contesting/DXing use.
Second would be the Proset Plus what contains both the HC4/HC5 elements but
is a bit heavier and more tiring to wear for long periods.
(consider the Heil footswitch also!)
