Like Overdrive, High SWR, Hi drain current, ad infinitum.
Modern SS amplifiers all have this built in protection.
Like many, I have never used ALC, being CW only, but I
take care of drive power to protect the amplifier.

I used a doublet (center fed zepp) with 22 feet on each horizontal side then
a 44 foot piece of 300 ohm TV lead back to the tuner. In my case the tuner

Both stereo plugs are 3.5mm. If it were me I would make
a keying lead from my keyer to the 3.5 plug rather than use
a Shadiorack adapter... You don't want too much weight
and tension hanging off the back of the K2's keyer jack.
