Hello all,
I have two K3s, both acquired recently, one with an earlier serial number
(09xx) and the other with a later one (8xxx). 8xxx came to my shack first,
so I've used it with KPA500 and KAT500. When I got my second K3, I compared
them and found some differences, primarily due to their differ
However, the K3 with 8xxx serial number has very tinny receive audio
in USB mode, and the transmit audio lacks volume in both USB and LSB
modes.
What filter is installed? Check both filter settings - filter selected
for SSB transmit and offset for the SSB filter using the K3 Utility.

Too many hams believe that if the connector will plug in, it should
work. This is nothing farther from the truth. There are little to NO
standards with ham radio equipment.
You will need to check the pin-out circuits on the KX2 as published in
the manual. Then check the SSM-17A wiring. Y
Good Evening,
Conditions were OK. Moderate QSB, both slow and fast. Some QRN,
some terrestrial. Twenty was open to both coasts and down into the
South. A few operators tested me with QRP signals (intentionally or not
:) but that's OK, I don't mind. It is quiet up here so I can hear

Hello,
If the Amazon microphone is anything like the other Asian microphones I
have seen and modified, things will actually get slightly more
difficult. Please bear with me, this gets complicated.
Elecraft suggests to use an angled 3.5mm connector for the microphone to
reduce stress on the m
This site has pinouts for a lot of microphones. I don’t see the Yaesu SSM-17A,
but check other mics for the radios where the SSM-17A works.

And you can’t blame it only on ham radio. Many times I’ve had the wrong USB-C
cable in my hands - AND THEY’RE NEVER MARKED. Sheesh.

*** Wow. Thinking back, was it a mistake to put in a "break this radio"
function?
I don't think so, and if there is an issue, frankly, then it right in
front of the frontpanel, operating the VFO knob.
Seriously: every modern radio these days, depends on settings that are
"done by software".

around its perimeter. And LEDs for every wire
Please share the make and model of your testers

Please join us on 3803kHz plus (not minus) QRM (see the Netlogger

The issue has been resolved. It was caused by incorrect filter offset
setting.
Special thanks to Joe, W4TV.
