It is indeed summer. High temperatures turned the bright green of
spring into mature growth. More hummingbirds arrived. I saw eight of
them clustered around the feeder shortly after dawn. By sunrise they had
dispersed to the nearby fireweed.

Weaker signals and summer storms did not help. Summer has arrived.
Temperature reports were from HOT to heat wave HOT with flooding; except
for the California coast where it gets foggy. No fog here for the last
