I am handling an estate for a deceased friend.

I attempted to do the TX gain calibration on my K3, S/N 1171 today but it fails
with 2.2:1 SWR in 18 MHz.
I've tried both ANT1 and ANT ports on the K3, multiple different patch cables,
and two different high-precision Cablewave dummy loads. With my LP-100A SWR
meter in-line when testing it show
Hi Jerry,
I agree that the relatively low TX power output on 20M
originates in the KPA100 module. Did you build that
module and install it yourself? The LPA circuit in the
base K2 seems to operating normally, and your
peaking of the BPF confirms that.

Twenty meters had decent propagation. At the very end the noise
level started rising. On forty meters there was some noise and a
moderate level of QSB. About two S units on everyone who checked in.
It is surprising how well the sun is doing with the sunspot number so low.
