Hans,
The K2 RX ANT is injected at the same point after the T/R switch and
before the Low Pass Filter, so any energy from the transmit antenna will
not harm the K2 during transmit, although it may add to the RF level
going into the LPF and be amplified by the KPA100.

Frank,
I have an unassembled K160RX complete still in the K160RX Elecraft bag.
I'll have to look for it.
Contact me off list and we can negotiate price and delivery.

Frank,
Don't forget that in addition to the K160RX board, you will need the
capacitors for the 80/160m bandpass filter, the standoff, the header (it
is taller than normal) and the BNC jack.
There is more to the K160RX kit than just the board. The Elecraft kit
has all the components required
Dan,
First try a simple solution - turn the power control back to 12 watts
and try a TUNE.
If you still get HiCur messages, then check the low pass filter on the
K160RX carefully - count the number of turns on the toroids - each pass
of the wire through the center of the core counts as one turn

Look for an errata sheet for the K160RX.
Turns out that the CAL PLL is done on 40m only these days.
Good luck and 73

Hank,
Read the K160RX errata sheet - it tells you not to do the CAL PLL on 160
meters.
The display you received is quite normal when attempting CAL PLL on any band
except 40 meters, so no harm done. The frequency that is briefly displayed
the the frequency of the VCO output (read from TP1). It
Hi Hank,
Look at the Errata for your module. I always incorporate the errata
into the manual before I start building, just to make sure I don't miss
anything. If you didn't get the errata you can download it from
Elecraft's website.
In any case, it states that you don't need to do the firs
Ken,
Install the parts and header (and don't forget the standoff). It will not
interfere with the rest of the alignment (if done correctly).

David,
To repeat the old adage - check soldering, then re-check soldering, and when
that is done, check the soldering.
In particular, look for too much solder causing solder bridges.
Plug the K160RX into the K2 and select any band other than 160 meters - then
power off and check the resistan
Hi Don
Thanks for that.

Help:
Bryan,
This is a residual step left over from the old days when CAL PLL was to be
performed on all bands - it is no longer required, CAL PLL is only done with
the K2 set to 40 meters - and as you experienced it will report an error if
you attempt it on 160.
Simply skip that step in the K160R
Hi All
Tryng to do 160 Meter Alignment page 9. CALL PLL display shows 06917.1 and
