We are very impressed with Ekiga and wish to use it and deploy it into our

Hey all,
I sent an email to the list a week ago, but it was held for moderator
approval because of the size (there were logs and a screenshot
attached). Has this fallen between the cracks somewhere or is there
just a long backlog?
Sincerely,

If you have a chance at some point, could you turn Ekiga on so I can
capture these logs?

Hi,
I would love to use Ekiga instead of Skype to talk with my
girl friend. Unfortunately she is behind a symmetric NAT.
It seems that a SIP proxy would help here. Does anybody know
a free public sip proxy (in Europe) we could use?

Hello list,
I used my bluetooth headset under ubuntu 8.04 following configuration
steps in the first posting
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4910397; 'arecord' and 'aplay'
works fine and when i start ekiga with 'ekiga --debug=6' and i can set
bluetooth headset for audio devices. But if i
Hallo,
i am quite new to DBus, but i figured out how to implement some basic
Ekiga features into a Perl programm.
I found a list of possible methods and signals used by Ekiga.
When I connect to the signal "StateChanged", i see if there is an
Incoming Call, an Outgoing Call, or none.
That´s great
nformation, if the person i
call to, actually picks up the phone, although there is a connection to
the "net-operator"??
Thanks, again...

In response to my post last week that I could not get sound in or out on Ekiga,
and that it told me to check to see what, if anything, was using the port
assigned to Ekiga, I was told to check the port and to open ports 5000 through
5006. However, I was not told how to do that. I am not technica
Yes, our local network provides the SIP-Connection!
So in the Network-Option i choose "eth0", and it worked. But next time i
started the program, it changed the option to "ppp0" again.
And then it won't connect. Is there any way to force ekiga to choose
alright! when is it going to be released?

Hello,
thx for the packages. But on my maschine I got unmet dependencies.
I used "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/sevmek/ubuntu intrepid main", but
on synaptics it says:
Ekiga depends on libopal, but it won't be installed
- depends on libpt, but it won't be installed
(Translated it from German, so
Hello again,
i just retried, the installation works without complains. (ok, he had to
remove ubuntu-desktop meta-package...)
In the options menus i can find all audio and video devices.
But, I cannot place any calls.
In accounts, it tells connected.
Sometimes it complained about network errors,
ok, I posted them here:

I mean I experienced the same problem on Ekiga 2, since I didn´t tell it

pv6. In general, this would be a much more elegant solution
then to implement NAT traversal in each and every program. Since
Teredo is also supported on Windows, this might also work for
Windows users.

Hello,
I try to use ekiga 3.2.4 with a peer offering a 1280x720 video, but the
ekiga plugin offers in the sip-request only Level 3.0 H.264. This is
sufficient for VGA, but for 1280x720 video ekiga should offer Level 3.1.
Can I configure the offered level for H.264 somehow ?
