Hello all, first off, Ekiga and Pidgin are great products. They works quite well in their own domain. I was wondering, with projects forking left and right, and about a hundred several programs/projects doing the same, why wouldn't pidgin and ekiga concider a merge? If not merge of apps, a merge

Hi, i was just wondering what the status is on converencing with ekiga these days. I know you can 'dial' into a preset server/channels, but does this work 'dumb user mode' too? I hate to bring up skype, but I'm thinking, right click user, invite to converence. A simple message could be sent to the

My personal thought, no, never. Atleast the way I know/work with it not. What ekiga is laking is a 'buddy list'. People like that, people want that. So what you'd want is incorporate the video/voice capabilities of ekiga in to pidgin. Then you have something that has a chance to compete with skype.
