Hi Michael
Mate (on Fedora 19, here) has problems with audio set up at the moment - a
pity because it was working a few months ago - try switching to, say,
Cinnamon and setting the audio through there - slow and clunky as it is
Cinnamon does allow the audio devices to be changed.
My experience, an
n log out and log
back in with Mate - that seems keep the settings.
What a phaff!

This is the problem of community software.
So what are the other options?
What partnership? What platforms?
And, importantly, what would the Ekiga team actually LIKE to do - you are
the people who make Ekiga happen.

Can ekiga use a local ldap addressbook (like squirrellmail does, for

That would be more useful. Evolution is such a pain to use and would tie
ekiga more closely to gnome.

An audio message is different from an audio conversation - Ekiga is
optimised for conversations. If you want to record audio there are
plenty of programs out there that will do that - Audacity comes to mind.
Hope this helps

I agree, Ekiga having 'jack-ability' would be great and as jack is able
