One of the objectives is to drop old
STUN by default and have the ekiga.net platform handle the NAT
part (Far End NAT traversal). If eventually it requires a proxy
for the audio and video streams, then we will setup one, and see
what it asks in terms of bandwidth.
And then there are those of us who use MATE and other lighter desktops
because our hardware won't run Gnome 3.

Due to other problems Ekiga crashed or uninstalled ( I suspect interfered with
by something
related to Skype updates) .
Skype and Ekiga reinstalled. Both running but Ekiga seems slightly wounded
