I'm sorry, I'm new and I don't understand the Ubuntu bug system.
In the title this bug says "and backport to 12.04 LTS" Programmers know
what *AND* means, right? ;) It's not conditional.
I read "Fix Released" but I can't find this in Ubuntu 12.04? How do I
request a backport?

There is already a backport request in bug #1002780. It'd be appreciated
