After the above commands were executed my proper background appeared,
and the mouse worked as it should. I shut down to make sure, and upon
starting the system again I have the correct background as well as a
working mouse. The right click on the background brings up a small menu
which it did not
Yeah it was a configuration issue. I'm going to close the bug because
there were multiple issue, each of them already reported on other bugs.

Trying to use the BT mouse on the Toshiba S855-5378 without the laptop battery
resulted in periodic mouse freezes after several minutes of use, usually a
