Could it be that the library used to fetch those translations doesn't
like the utf "\u2003" chars? Replacing "Tomorrow\u2003%H:%M" but
"Tomorrow" makes it display translated, since the gettext command on the
original string returns a translation it looks like the C code doesn't
like those strings.
Confirmed on desktop, the translation is there but not used
$ gettext -d indicator-datetime "Tomorrow\u2003%H:%M"
Demain\u2003%H:%M
But it's still displayed as "Tomorrow" in the indicator
Charles, could you have a look to that?

Some translations are not loaded
Status in Ubuntu Tran
What is the status of this bug, 'Tomorrow' is still untranslated on
krillin #15 and apparently the string is not extracted from the source
code.

This might be caused by language packs not having been updated. New
language packs should be uploaded in the next 1 or 2 images, and then
this bug can be reassessed.
