Following this latest update, when my system runs for an extended period
-- over 72 hours -- cursor and keyboard response become so sluggish that
the system is very, very frustrating to use, bordering on useless.
Overall system performance is very poor.

Re: Thunderbird -- serious issue
The bogus directory is Trash>>[Gmail]>Drafts. When the main mail
display is dismissed, Thunderbird continues to attempt to save a draft
of any new message. It is then no longer possible to edit the message
being prepared and it is no longer possible to access t
The "failed to download extra data files" message doesn't seem to
accomplish anything. It just keeps repeating, even though I click the
"run this action" button and authenticate. This was the case with
previous updates too.
THUNDERBIRD problem
About two or three weeks ago (perhaps a bit longer)
Update today to 12.04 restores URL bar copy/paste.
However, when the restart button on the update page is clicked, the
computer does not complete the restart procedure, but hangs with a dark
green screen. It can only be restarted by removing power and the
battery. Manual retry works with no furt

The two most recent updates to 12.04 have caused even more serious
productivity problems than ever.
Autoclick timeout has decreased to near zero. I haven't had the time to
try to discover how to adjust this, if it's even possible to adjust.

The latest update (March 26 or 27) has introduced new issues having to do with
mouseover-autoclick and touchpad sensitivity.
No other changes have been made to the system other than the updates.
Timeout for autoclick is so short that just moving the cursor usually
results in moving some piece

re: #11 -- it turns out that there was just a verrry long delay in
writing the message content to the screen. I've never experienced that
before.

11. Thunderbird loses messages and/or message contents. The message
appears in the summary pane, but when I click on it to read the message,
the content is from a previously read message. This is a new problem,
just experienced today (January 24). I can read the messages on my
Android 'ph

10. Resized windows no longer retain their size, but revert to a
default size. Sometimes I want a smaller sized window and I expect it
to stay that size.
