ok i figured out how to use it..
I can confirm that unchecked "detect_outputs"
and configuring "outputs" to match screen revolution. Fix the
overlapping issue.
Under ubunto system settings i also had to correct the settings to match
config in "outputs"

Well, it would be possible, but it also seems that right-clicking an
icon and un-stick it isn't a big deal, and it's just better to consider
that as the configuration parameter, more than a generic option.

well i figured out what you meant by ccsm it is just the manager.. but i
am still unable to find the setting you referee to ?
Is it "detect_outputs" ? if so.. what do i need to put in the output

I see the same problem on Trusty 14.04.1 LTS.
I have a VGA monitor on the left, and an HDMI monitor on the right, and a
laptop screen that is turned off since I can't seem to run 3 displays at once.
The HDMI goes to sleep after 2 hours of inactivity.
It doesn't happen every time, but after seve
5 years later, another random person on the internet spends hours trying
to figure out why the documented -t switch won't work, eventually taking
him here only to find out that the man page is documenting a feature
that won't work.

I had the correct permissions for unix_chkpwd.
I replaced libpam-ldap by libpam-ldapd and now I can unlock the user
session successfully.
However I have some other issues I didn't have before using libpam-ldapd
like I'm unable to create a local user (non ldap) or su comman
